  1. Toddlers should be bathed ever other day at the very least.    They should be "wiped down" every day if a full bath isn't possible.

Body odor (in a clean baby) can be a sign of a chemical/hormone imbalance.

I'd see a doctor just to be safe.

  2. is he being bathed regualrly? if he is indeed a clean child then you want to look at the possiblilty of very early peuberty. there has been a epidemic of children around the age or 2 or 3 who start the phases of body changes very early. this is usually induced byt the levels of hormones we have in our food.

chicken cows pigs all recieve huge numbers of growth and maturation hormones.

bathe him or her more frequently and see if you still notice a problem. many people with early pueberty notice a cycle of PMS starting with thier girl very early/

  3. I would say if the toddler is being bathed regularly, then you should probably take him in for a check up and consult his doctor.

  4. Well, my kids are toddlers and they are stinky. I am not talking about body odor but toddlers like to get dirty a lot and will get into all sorts of things -thus becoming stinkies. Both my kids age, 15 months and 29 months have stinky feet with the hot weather. Since they are small still, I can sit them up and sponge wash them off in the sink when they come in from outside. When they are outside I let them get messy and realized its no use to constantly fuss about it. Its an age thing and they should be free to explore and play. They do get stinky when they have been outside which is why I wash them off when they come back in.

Other than this I usually bathe them every other night. It mainly just depends on how messy they get in the course of the day. I think its not necessary to bathe every single night especially because my kids get wiped down so many times in the day and sometimes dont need it if they were already scrubbed and fussed over all day. Their bottom stays clean because the diaper area is constantly cleaned with every diaper change.

But I can tell you that I have noticed that my son seems a lot stinkier than my daughter for some reason. I think its just differences because boys and girls have different anatomy and body hormones. I remember growing up hearing people refer to boys as 'stinky' and now I have learned why since having my son. I usually have to freshen him up a lot throughout the day. My daughter however is more aware of her hygeine and tends to avoid things that make her feel messy.
