Alright so what do when your paddling out and about 3 maybe 4 feet in front of you is a perfect 10ft wave, you don't really have time for a duck dive, and if you just stand there your done for...

personally i think i would just throw my board and jump into the wave... i am just curious if anyone has any good escape techniques?

  1. *** the bored im goin under!

another technique roll over turtle roll!

  2. haha that **** is scary, the rogue waves come through. had that happen once when i was a bit younger. 5Ft and an 8ft wave came thru n my dad says to me " You either Paddle Out Or Paddle in....."

I was young then so i just paddled in and it pushed me in all the way.

  3. I would gun it as fast as i could with no hesitation and duckdive as deep as i possibly could maybe even letting go part way down and free dive even deeper.

  4. yae ive done that or try and throw your board over the wave so you dont have to go get it

or another one is just have the board strapped to you arm or w/e and just let it float but you get off and the wave will pull the board a little but not you

if you do this make sure you dont wrap the board around your fingers cuz then you will be in a world of hurt when that board gets pulled on

  5. This situation has happened to me at North Point in Western Australia,  i just had to ditch my board and paddle as far down as i could, it passed over me with not to much trouble and i didn't even touch the bottom. i swam a long way down as well

  6. BONZAI go for it
