  1. I'm sure you mean the engines cus the 747 as an airframe doesn't have thrust, it depends on which 747-100, 747SP, -200, -300, -400, 400ER.

  2. for the 747-400, the most common of all 747s

    depending on engine type

      Pratt & Whitney PW4062

    63,300 lb (281.57 kN)

    Rolls-Royce RB211-524H2-T

    59,500 lb (264.67 kN)

    General Electric CF6-80C2B5F

    62,100 lb (276.23 kN)

all ratings are per engine. (multiply by four to get total thrust)

for other 747 models, go to

  3. It depends on the 747. See the table on the bottom of this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_747 (last row of the table)

  4. The General Electric CF6 Engines found on some Boeing 747 Offer up 72,000 pounds of thrust per engine so

72,000 * 4 = 288,000  pounds of thrust total because they have four engines

But Pratt and Whitney offer the JT9D Which offer  56,000 pounds of trust each. 56,000*4= 224, 000 pounds of thrust total. And the PW 2000 And 4000 which has up to 62,000 pounds of thrust each . So 4*62,000= 248,000

and Finally The Rolls Royce RB211-524 series offer up 60,000  pounds of  thrust per engine. 60,000*4= 240,000 pounds of thrust total

  5. no thrust.
