Question:

Boeing 757 pilot/flight attendant question about seats?

I am going to St. John in the USVI in August and I am wondering where to sit. I have head the left side of the plane is best (from MIA to STT), but the only seats left are above the wing or behind the wing... nothing in front. Can anyone tell me which seats would be best for view? Would the wing block our view much?

I know this question is kind of dumb, but this trip is a very important one, and I want to try to make it perfect, relatively speaking.

Thanks so much!

  1. behind the wing.

obviously don't sit on the wing since you won't have much of a view ( close to none actually)

behind the wing, it may be slightly louder but you should have close to unobstructed view of below.

  2. Definitely try to sit right on the wing. Smoothest ride possible and the most exciting

  3. Sit on the shady side. Ever hear the expression POSH? It has the connotation of luxury. It really means port side outbound; starboard side home bound. Aboard ship you favored the shady side [in the days before AC].

  4. Flew that same leg on a AA 757.  Behind the wing offers the best view but our view was limited due to overcast on the flight.  On a clear day, you should be able to get a view of Puerto Rico from the right side of the aircraft.  Have fun.
