  1. i've been there it was a while ago so i dont remember too well. But if you speak some spanish it will help alot just follow the people from the same flight as you. same as nearly all airports but quite a bit smaller!

Have fun coz colombia is great!

  2. When you land, you will go down a longer hallway and wait at immigration. They will ask you where you are staying (the address) and, sometimes a local phone number. Most of the agents speak English. You will then proceed to baggage claim. There it is a slight madhouse but there are only 3 international belts so get a portero (the guys in the red suits and hats) and have them get your bags. (tip 5K-20K Pesos) You will then have to show your baggage claim tickets and then hand in your paperwork that you filled out on the plane. There is a button they push. If it is green you go out w/o inspection if red your bags get inspected. (no big deal) You will then leave that are (the whole area is pretty small) and your bags will be Xrayed or inspected depending on the button. The money exchange houses are right there. Use Areo Cambio. The exchange houses near unicentro (Car. 15 and about 119) have better rates as does New York Money Exchange inside Unicentro. (Its a mall) After you change your money, if you havent already. you will see a bazillion people standing outside and more than likely your friend will be there waving their hands to get your attention. Find your friend and let them take over. Youll love Colombia.
