Bogus Addresses?

I received more requests to join my Yahoo Group this morning than the total received in the past 24 months. Since I always verify the addresses and request full name before I let someone join, I found out that at least 35% are bogus. The rest could be , too. The addresses are from Europe. Has anyone one else noticed this problem this morning?

how did you know they were bogus addresses? did you e-mail them and it came back undeliverable?

no, I have not expereinced a rash of joins to my group and on a side note, any group owner requesting my full name I'd tell them it was Marilyn Monroe.

It's a pain but you're going to have to delete them manually.

See if the ban function lets you use wild cards.  Maybe you ban block entire continents from getting on your list.
