Boher Chieftain to complete his hat-trick in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers 480m Trophy at Nottingham
The Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers 480m Trophy will take place today, 9th April, at Nottingham, at 22:07 GMT.
The six hounds:
Boher Chieftain,
Ambleside Al,
Cavecourt Derry,
Shades Of Nobby,
Savana Reg, and
Miss Slick, will cover a distance of 480 metres for a purse worth £200.
Ambleside Al, son of Tucks Mein, out of Ambleside Amy, finished fifth in the Grade OR The Coral Romford Standard at Romford on 23rd March, 2012.
His finishing time was 25.11 seconds, whereas the winner, Trevi You Go, completed the course in 24.39 seconds.
Under the training of G. Ballentine, the hound has shown remarkable improvement.
He thrived in the Grade OR Betfred.com 480m Trophy at Nottingham on 2nd April, 2012, where he exhibited his immense skill on the track.
He entered with the odds of 9 to 2, and defeated race favourite, Mottos Blue, by 3 ¼ lengths in 29.37 seconds.
Today, he will be breaking out from trap 4, with the winning odds of 4 to 1.
Boher Cheiftain’s performance is creating a buzz as he will race as a favourite with winning odds of 4 to 5.
With two victories already under his belt, he is currently on his way for a hat-trick.
The son of Head Bound, out of Knock Princess, whelped in January, 2010, claimed a victory in the Grade OR The Molson Coors Maiden 480m Trophy - Heat 3 at Nottingham, on 27th February, 2012.
He raced as the evening’s favourite and defeated Dee Double You by 3 ½ lengths.
He relayed his winning momentum in the Grade OR Molson Coors Maiden 480m Trophy – Final at the same venue on 5th March, 2012.
He raced with odds of 2 to 1, and defeated evening’s favourite, Mill Pegasus, by 3 ¼ lengths and claimed the prestigious victory.
C. Lister has been working hard on his runner’s form, and has been taking him on solo runs to improve his timing on the track.
He ran a solo on 28th March, 2012, at Sheffield, where he completed the course of 280 metres in 16.21 seconds. His second solo run was held at Nottingham, this time he ran over 305 metres in 17.83 seconds.
Nottingham is a familiar track for this hound.
He will take advantage of his familiarity with the track as his previous two victories materialised here.
He is expected to emerge victorious from this race, followed by Ambleside Al.
