Boher Chieftain to race in black and white in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy
The finalists for the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy are Move Over Jered, Belvedere Emma, Monleek Amigo, Bit View Micko, Garlyn Rocky and Boher Chieftain. Reaching at the finalists’ stage speaks a lot about the ability and the potential of the hounds who are seeking their share from the £500 prize money. The race will be staged at Nottingham on Monday, 22nd October.
The contestants include the finalist of the Puppy Classic, Garlyn Rocky, but the entry backed most strongly is the 6 to 4 shot, Boher Chieftain.
The fact that he is Charlie Lister trained has boosted the chances of the two-year-old black and white hound tremendously and the efforts of the team are reflective in the least three races that he secured as successes at the identical level.
Head Bound’s son has stepped into the racing career just this year, and did not take long to pave his way to success, taking on to the open level after racing in several Grade T races.
The two-year-old won the October Mini on 4th October, 2012 at Henlow. He had drawn the sixth box. He paced up right after leaving the stall, bumped into the cluster, and led on from the first spot concluding the race in 25.82 seconds.
His dominance over the final 4 ½ lengths saw the favourite entry, Bush Standard, ending as the runner-up.
The two-year-old out of, Knock Princess, then carried the winning form on to the Saturday Afternoon Club Trophy on 9th October, 2012 at Henlow over 428 metres. Once again he was seen racing in black and white vest.
Being quick with the speed and taking charge of the field from the third position had him making the transit in 26.24 seconds. Crossing the wire after four lengths was the runner-up, Gilbeyhall Ned.
The Charlie Lister trained struck a hat-trick by winning the first heat of the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy on 15th October, 2012 at Nottingham over 480 metres.
His back-to-back was achieved through the sixth trap, while the trio became possible from the fifth stall.
Setting into a high gear, taking command from the first position and then switching from the middle to wide had him timing the track distance in 28.52 seconds.
The black and white hound has once again drawn the lucky last trap.
