Boher Tess and Billys Buddy prepare for the Perry Barr Flat Race – Preview
A tough clash is expected between, Boher Tess and Billys Buddy in the Grade A4 480 metres Flat Race, scheduled to take place at Perry Barr in England on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. They are the joint favourites to win the event.
Boher Tess has not enjoyed success in the past few races, but still managed to earn the confidence of the bookmakers for this race. She has been given a starting price of 5 to 2, and will be eying a solid show today.
K. Babe’s trained b***h last raced on Tuesday, January 31 this year, but failed to challenge the front runners for victory. She entered that event with a starting price of 4 to 1, and finished third overall.
Despite not winning that race, Boher Tess ran well and could have done better, had she gotten off to a better start. However, her trainer will be fully focused on the future, which is the most important thing.
Boher Tess is the daughter of Big Daddy Cool, out of January Robin, and was born in February, 2009.
Joint favourite to win at Perry Barr, Billys Buddy, will be expecting a strong race today. He has been doing a very good job over the past few months and will be looking to carry forward the same momentum.
His last race at this venue turned out to be an impressive one, as he was able to finish at the top of the table. He was not the favourite to win back then, but surprised one and all with his brisk speed.
Although Billys Buddy clinched victory by just a head’s distance, he certainly proved his worth to everyone. He will be expecting a repeat of that event today as well, but things will not be easy for him.
W. Russell’s trained dog is the son of Droopys Maldini, out of Aughavas, and was born in November, 2006.
Other than the favourites, Crossfield Dara and Parisienne Star are also expected to make an impression in the event. They have been given a starting price of 7 to 2 by the bookmakers, considering their recent performances.
Both the runners have failed to hit the mark in their recent outings. They have been inconsistent, and this indicates that both will once again struggle to win today, but anything can happen in a short distance flat race.
The inconsistent greyhounds have been trained by N. Slowley and D. Freeman, respectively. Both trainers will be eying a strong show today.
The final two participants of the race, Coyote Beauty and Millroad Classic, will enter with a starting price of 6 to 1. They can prove to be a threat for the favourites, as both have been doing well recently.
Millroad Classic, in particular, has been pretty much impressive over the past few events. His last two races proved to be quite spectacular, as he managed to win both of them. However, it will not be an easy task for him to complete a hat-trick of
victories.
R. Stanton’s trained dog is the son of Honcho Classic, out of Sahara Cailin, and was born in February, 2008.
Overall, the race is expected to be a challenging one. All greyhounds will enter with an aim to win, but the best will prevail in the end.
