Boherna Mac in better position to win Belle Vue Standard
Belle Vue Standard will be the highlight of Belle Vue’s Thursday card. Six fast and furious hounds are geared up to show their magic in the 470 metre long Grade Open Race (OR) heat. The triumphant will earn a cash prize of £150.
The runners partaking in this exciting event are:
Mountjoy Rock
Witton Tom
Boherna Mac
Graigues Orchard
Datona Revival
Bellamore Lad
Following is an analysis of every hound’s recent performances. This preview will be quite helpful for the punters to stake their money carefully.
Boherna Mac is looking in good position to win the title on Thursday. The white and brindle dog has been producing outstanding results over the last few months.
M. Siddall’s trainee won five out of his last seven races. Since the October-08 veteran is great rhythm at the moment, he will tough to beat.
Moreover, Ballymac Maeve’s son out of Boherna Pet has an ability to sustain good speed despite being crowded. Hence, it will be difficult for the rest to outsmart him.
Another hound who has reasonable chances of winning is Graigues Orchard. After doing a lot of practice, the white and black dog made his seasonal debut on February 7.
Although he was not able to win that race, he ran superbly despite being bumped at the fourth bend. Graigues Orchard’s ability to run on the inside rail of the track will also be crucial.
Mountjoy Rock is also keen to regain his lost momentum. After clinching seven back to back win, the black dog became a bit rusty towards the end of last year.
After a long break of almost four months, E. Parker’s trainee is making a comeback and all eyes will be once again on him. Black Shaw’s son out of Noelles Amarillo is well capable of springing up a surprise and will be the one to look out for.
Among the rest, nobody is in position to upset the proceedings. Witton Tom is stepping into this contest after a couple of ordinary shows and thus, it will be a bit risky to expect something special from him.
Likewise, Datona Revival has nothing to proud of. The black dog displayed an embarrassing performance in his last race, finishing fifth on the table.
Despite showing a lot determination, Bellamore Lad has not yet registered his first win this month. So far in February, the black dog has made a couple outings, finishing second on both occasions.
Final Prediction
The trio of Boherna Mac, Graigues Orchard and
Mountjoy Rock will be the centre of attention. They will battle hard for the top three positions whereas the rest of the pack might come up with an upset.
