Boil on rear end or something else?

I have a boil on my rear end which has started to drain. Yesterday, I noticed a new head was on it and today the head is gone and it hurts an nothing is draining. Is this a boil or something more serious>

It doesn't sound serious from what you say. Since it isn't draining but it is still there, you should put hot compresses on it several times a day to encourage more drainage until it heals.
