Boiler ratings, i need to know how many Kw or BTU's approx?

I have a 4 bedroom flat and want to install a new boiler. I need to know how many Kw output and where is the cheapest site on the net to look at. I also need to do it today as we have no hot water? Please help! Thanks

Remove the front cover of your old boiler, and inside is a data plate which will tell you the out put of the boiler. Then buy another of the same size. Easy!

Not as easy as you make it sound - there are different types of boiler to consider. You also have to consider your water connection and feed locations - these may need to be moved.

Secondly - you cannot do it - you will need someone to install it for you that is Corgi Registered. OR, you can fit yourself BUT, you will not be able to use it legally until it is signed off and certified safe by a Corgi engineer. That will cost you between £100 & £200

So it isn't going to get done today.

1 kw =3412 btu

you need a survey to be carried out as it depends on many things..

get it wrong and you will have a cold house

most four bedroom houses i see have a 50,000 - 65,0000  btu boiler

Without wishing to offend, the fact you need to ask tells me you are not qualified to install a boiler.

You may not be aware that it is also illegal to install one withou the correct qualifications.

Call in an approved installer, your life and those in your flat may depend on it.
