Bold Misty comes first in THE 2012 LADBROKES GOLDEN JACKET TRIAL STAKES at Crayford on Jan 21
An early pace followed by a handsome lead guided Bold Misty to a comfortable win in THE 2012 LADBROKES GOLDEN JACKET TRIAL STAKES, at Crayford on Saturday, January 21, 2012.
It was a 714 metre long Grade Open Race (OR) race, holding a cash prize of £150.
Trained by J. J. Luckhurst, the black b***h began the party from the fourth stall, carrying odds of 7 to 1.
She was not the favourite to finish first, but the daughter of Hondo Black out of Mohawk Misty, did it in style.
The black b***h clocked the distance in 46.39 seconds, conquering the runner-up by a margin of 4 ¾ lengths.
Share The Spoils, Head Hound’s daughter out of Paradise Alanna, secured second position, covering the area in 46.77 seconds.
She was holding the winning chances of 3 to 1, stepping out on the track from the sixth stall.
Although the black b***h, trained by C N Kyme, was bumped early on, she put it in a lot of effort to improve her ranking from five to two.
Holding the odds of 9 to 2, Amanda And Sal managed to end up among the top-3.
Ace Hi Rumble’s daughter out of Arch Enemy exhibited an early pace, but could not sustain same speed all the way through.
The brindle b***h made it to the post in 46.85 seconds, finishing one length adrift of the second placed hound.
Saveourstow Lass, enjoying the starting price of 4 to 1, wound down at fourth place in the list. The b***h was crowded in the middle and therefore, could not challenge the first three.
Razldazl William’s daughter out of Kilquane Lass completed her run in 46.95 seconds, staying 1 ¼ lengths behind Amanda And Sal.
The event appeared a nightmare for Springwood Bob, who was the race favourite with the odds of 7 to 4.
The black dog, Westmead Hawk’s son out of Lego Lady, could not live up to his reputation, reaching the post in 47.03 seconds.
The final position went to Calluke Zeta, the least favourite b***h with the starting price of 25 to 1.
The b***h conceded 47.79 seconds to wrap up the show, losing by 9 ½ lengths.
After finishing sixth in the previous heat, Bold Misty has returned strongly. Her trainer, J. J. Luckhurst, would look to keep the consistency to ensure more success this season.
