  1. Historical facts...here are a few....

    During the colony period, the territory now known as Bolivia was called "Upper Peru" and was under the authority of the Viceroy of Lima.

    It gained independence on August, 6, 1825.

    During the War of the Pacific (1879-83), Bolivia lost his access to the coast to Chile.

    FYI, Bolivia started this war and was too busy with carnival celebrations to defend strategic points.
