Bollywood actors - Overpaid?

Question

India has around 30 % of it's population living below the poverty lines. Many people find it hard to afford for themselves and their families even the most basic of necessities. That being said, these actors in bollywood make ridiculous lump sum of money. I feel as though they are over paid. There are many who work hard for long hours and probably make less than 1/4th of what these actors make. I personally used to watch movies during the 90's, but now have boycotted them. the plots just keep getting ridiculous 2) I'd rather spend my money on those who need it (i.e charity) 3) I'd rather spend 3 hours more productively (get a hobby)

There needs to be a solution! There is so much to be achived if we spend our money/time wisely, rather than have directors/actors loot you, and make a fortune for themselves. How many of you would agree, and would consider implementing this into your lives? This could probably send a shock out to those directors/actor who could then mend their ways.

yeah i agree with u but the thing is if producers wanna pay we cant do nothing, but if this money can give to the poor persons who cant eat food also then must be very good.

they get paid coz they work hard and they have demand in market..

the figures u showing ... is useless. and it wont solve anything..

u saying they should give away the money to the poor ppl ..

my point is why should they.. ??

bollywood ppl are not responsible for the poverty..

may be the govt.. not the actors..

u can maximum urge them to do some charity .. so they do that ...but why shold they give away all the hard earned money to some ppl they even dont know..

I agree they are overpaid but who is to blame? The people that continue to go see their movies keep making these stars rich. Until people stop seeing the movies and spend their hard earn money on something else these stars will continue to make large sums of money. That is the way it is in every country not just India. It is probably even worse in America. Nobody cares for the poor at least not many who are on top.

I fully agree with you.  It is not only the bollywood actors who are over paid. Even the cricketers are overpaid than the pl;ayers in other fields.  This is because the return from the cinem and cricket are too much and they can afford to make such huge payments.
