Question:

Bolt action or semi auto Ruger 10/22 (it about the accuracy)

Most shots will be 15 yards or so away so do u think i need a bolt aution for accuracy or a semi cuz it doesnt relly matter

  1. I agree with most of the replys here. A gun generaly shoots better than the shooter so for your average shooter it is a moot point. Fine details should only be taken in cosideration when you can consistantly out shoot your gun. In the even that you actually shoot better than your gun you will probably be looking at some custom guns from premium manufacturers like Kimber, Anschutz or CZ. I shoot small bore silhoette, there are all types of guns on the line, semi autos and bolt guns. When you have risen the skill level of your equipment it really boils down to personal preference. Some shooters like the semi auto because once they are in a good hold they dont want to break it to cycle the bolt. Others like bolt guns because they are more affordable to accurize and there are more premium quality bolt guns available that are good shooters right out of the box. Semi auto guns are generally made with looser manufacturing tolerances so that they can accept any ammo without feeding problems etc.
