Bolton Wanderers beat Wigan Athletic, reach FA Cup quarterfinal
Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers beat Roberto Martinez’s Wigan Athletic 1-0 at the DW Stadium to reach the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.
Ivan Klasnic’s goal in the 66th minute proved to be the decider for the visitors, who now play Fulham in the quarterfinal at Craven Cottage.
The original fixture at the Reebok Stadium had ended in a tame draw and the two Premier League sides met in a replay at the DW Stadium to decide the winner. Both the teams were carrying good momentum ahead of their FA Cup clash. Bolton put in a decent performance

Bolton enjoyed most of the possession in the first half as Wigan failed to put their passes together and clearly lacked creativity. The Trotters missed a glorious opportunity to go ahead in the 28th minute when Klasnic missed a chance and forced

Wigan came close to scoring the equaliser just 3 minutes later when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordi-c19110 Gomez hit the crossbar. The effort was the closest the home side could come and the visitors were able to hang on to the lead until the final whistle.
It was a brilliant victory for Bolton, who continue to surprise with a terrific season. The Trotters will next take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on 20 February, 2011.
