Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has confirmed he is interested in signing Wilfried Zaha in the winter transfer window in an attempt to strengthen his squad.
After selling defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tim-Ream-c35103 from MLS side New York Red Bulls and intends to make Zaha his second
signing.
The 19-year-old English winger currently plays for Crystal Palace, having graduated to the senior team in 2010. Since then he has made 66 appearances in the League and has even found the back of the net three times. He has attracted interest from many Premier
League sides but so far Bolton Wanderers are the only side to make an offer.
Bolton Wanderers reportedly have already made an offer for Zaha since Coyle believes the youngster can strengthen his side going into the second half of the season. With the Trotters battling relegation, someone like Zaha could really help the side climb
up on the Premier League table.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“I think there's players out there, and Zaha is certainly one of them, that I think would enhance our club for years to come on a permanent basis, and there are one or two on a loan capacity I'd love to bring in before the deadline on Tuesday.
If it transpires, then great, but it won't stop me targeting good, young players to bring to this football club that I think I can develop and make better, and that's what I'm trying to do.”
Coyle revealed he believed Zaha was one of the most talented young wingers in the English game and his arrival could really help the struggling Premier League side. He admitted he was working towards bringing him in before the transfer window closed on Tuesday
night.
