Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle confirms Gary Cahill not headed to Liverpool
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle revealed there was no possibility of defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under-25 international to Anfield in a big-money move, but the Bolton boss has dismissed
the rumours claiming the talk about Cahill to Liverpool was “without foundation”.
Cahill was initially linked with London sides http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, but neither side made a concrete offer for the central defender. Coyle urged the sides interested in the player to make offers sooner than later because he wanted Cahill’s future to be resolved.
The Bolton Wanderers boss wanted the talented defender to be able to focus on his career instead of wondering where he was going to be in the upcoming season.
While Coyle said he would be willing to part ways with Cahill if the right price was offered, he denied all rumours linking the player to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. Coyle claimed there wasn’t a shred of truth in the stories that had claimed that the player could end up
with the Reds following a surprise bid by the club. It would have been almost believable looking at Liverpool’s recent purchases if it Coyle had not gone on to deny the report.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“This story is without a shred of foundation.
It is irresponsible. To just reel words off is in poor taste.”
The Bolton boss continued:
“Gary had been through that much and read so many things, he is really focused. That is the way we will treat it.”
Despite being linked to a host of other clubs in the current transfer window, Coyle revealed Cahill had remained focused on continuing on with Bolton Wanderers. With almost a month remaining  before the transfer window closes, Coyle confirmed there had been
no offers for Cahill and that he was willing to consider any concrete bids.
Coyle said:
“There are 27 days left. This is another one. Nothing has happened, there is nothing concrete, there is nothing to report.
If someone leaves, it will be the right business for the club but I don't pre-occupy myself with thoughts like that when I have a team to prepare for the rest of the season.”
