Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle revealed he was prepared to make changes to the squad after they lost to Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
After a win over Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385, Bolton Wanderers once again lost in the English Premier League which means they remain in the relegation zone. It was at the Reebok Stadium that the Magpies scored two goals to secure all three points.
Along with their poor form, injuries have not helped the Trotters. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sean-Davis-c32688 are almost fit to make a return, with several other players also waiting to make a comeback. Their return would mean Coyle could change his team around
a little.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“There's one or two I've tried to play through, we've chopped and changed, tried to give it a bit of freshness.
But there comes a point when, if we're getting one or two back from injury, or if some of the kids are ready, then so be it, because I'm not going to stand and watch the same mistakes costing us every week.”
With the January transfer window fast approaching, Bolton Wanderers may not have any player lined up but it seems they could be losing one of their best defenders. Coyle admitted recently that they were in talks with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439.
The player is keen on a move to one of the top four sides and the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Chelsea are reportedly interested in his services. With the Blues already in talks, it could only be a matter of time before Cahill leaves for Stamford
Bridge.
Coyle revealed:
“If Gary's situation means that comes to fruition and we can juggle one or two balls, then so be it, but that's for January.”
The manager admitted it was frustrating to lose and revealed the significance of the upcoming game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium. He revealed they were targeting back to back wins to try and help themselves up the Premier League table.
He said:
“It's frustrating because we've let a great opportunity pass us by in terms of getting back-to-back wins.”
