Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle resigned to losing defender Gary Cahill to Arsenal or Chelsea
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle urged in demand 25-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 to remain focused on improving his performance for Bolton. Coyle confirmed there had been no concrete bids for the defender, despite heavy links to some of
the top English Premier League sides.
Over the past season, Cahill has emerged as one of the most impressive central defenders in the English Premier League. He has impressed for both club and country, which has reportedly raised interest from the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
However, the above mentioned clubs have not as yet made an official bid for Cahill, which is why the Bolton boss urged the player to focus on his current club instead of waiting for a move away. Coyle revealed there had been a lot of interest for the Bolton
defender, but no offer as yet.
Coyle admitted he was aware that he had an extremely talented player in his squad and that it was only a matter of time before someone made a bid for him which would be hard to turn down. The Bolton boss was full of praise for the talented England defender.
Coyle said in an interview:
“It only takes a phone call for it to all change but I have said to him he is a Bolton Wanderers player, he is well paid by Bolton Wanderers and he has to make sure he is focused to do the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 in hand until something was to change.”
Coyle continued:
“He is such an outstanding player that we are very fortunate to have him.
I know there is interest from other clubs, nothing concrete in terms of offers, but all these elite clubs know he is an outstanding player so we will have to wait and see what happens with that.”
Cahill joined Bolton Wanderers in the January transfer window of 2008 on a three and a half year deal from Aston Villa, after spending time out on loan to Championship sides Burnley and Sheffield United. He was crowned the Players’ Player of the Year 2008-2009
in his first season at the club, and since then has been an important part of the club.
Cahill has made 111 appearances for the Wanderers in the English Premier League and has scored 11 goals. He is most likely headed to either Arsenal or Chelsea, with both the London sides searching for a central defender.
