Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle to make changes for Norwich City
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle revealed he was prepared to make some changes to the team that had lost 5-0 to English Premier League champions Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium last weekend. Manchester United striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 scored a hat-trick,
while Hernandez scored two goals to add to the already impressive score-line.
The defeat to Manchester United outlined some glaring gaps in defence, which Coyle hopes to fix before his sides’ next fixture this weekend. Bolton Wanderers face newly promoted side Norwich City this Saturday in a home game and will have a chance to make
amends sooner than later in a relatively easier fixture. Coyle revealed he now had more options as compared to last season.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“The great thing is we have a few options now, as opposed to not having that last season. That's something we'll look at, as you always do week to week.”
Coyle admitted that while he had made changes against Manchester United, they had not made too much of a difference against the current champions. He revealed he was hoping to use the reinforcements during the summer transfer window to change things around
and strengthen the defence to keep from conceding the embarrassing number of goals.
He said:
“We made a few changes against United but time will tell whether we need more. We do have players now we know can step into the breach, so that's what we'll look to do.”
Having brought in striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 N’Gog and forward Gael Kakuta, Coyle was confident his side were set on the attacking front and did not need too much of an improvement there. However, he admitted, looking back to the 5-0 defeat to Manchester United, that
his side could do much better defensively and hoped to demonstrate that in their upcoming fixture.
Coyle continued:
“In an attacking sense we were fine. It was against the ball, and it was rare for us because we are usually good against the ball. We didn't do that well enough.
We have to look at that game and know we can defend better than that.”
