Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle revealed he wanted his squad to show passion for the supporters in the upcoming clash against Blackburn Rovers.
Tonight, the bottom two teams of the English Premier League will go head to head in an attempt to determine who will be at the bottom of the Premier League table at Christmas. The Scottish manager called for his side to toughen up and guarantee a good result
for their supporters.
The manager was certain the players had it in them to go ahead and secure a win against Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385, especially with the amount of money they were getting paid. Coyle expected more from them and expected them to deliver in the near future.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“I want players to go and express themselves and show they are in the best game in the world.
They are unbelievably well paid for it and they have supporters who earn average wages and have families to provide for but who want to come (to games) and are passionate about their team.
I want the players to show that passion, show that for the supporters.”
The Trotters boss expected his player’s to work hard, which according to him was the only way they could earn a win. He did not think it was suitable in the current circumstances to rely on luck, which had let them down on more than one occasion.
Like Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean, Owen Coyle’s position at the club has also come under question after the poor string of results. However, unlike Kean, the Scotsman has not been subjected to organized protests at home games.
Coyle was certain if his side tried, they would be able to get themselves out of the relegation zone. “At this club we never ever get too high so it is important not to get too low.
