Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle wants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439’s future decided
Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle said he felt that the transfer speculation about Gary Cahill was unfair and was stopping the 25-year-old England defender from focusing on his progress. Coyle revealed he wanted the transfer speculation to cease and Cahill’s
future to be decided as soon as possible.
While there has been interest from many top Premier League sides, including Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, there have been no concrete offers. Coyle revealed many clubs had made enquiries over the availability of Cahill for next campaign, but they were not yet prepared
to make an official offer.
This was very frustrating for both the player and the club, as they were still awaiting an offer from the various sides who had previously made enquiries. It was because of this that Coyle felt Cahill was unable to focus on his development at Bolton during
their pre-season training.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“There had been tentative enquiries, but there has certainly not been firm offers.
I have said to Gary that as soon as there are, then he will be the first to know. But I think a lot of the speculation is certainly unfair on him at this moment.”
The Bolton Wanderers manager said he wanted Cahill’s future decided sooner than later, Coyle continued:
“If it is going to happen, then the sooner it does the better - if not, let the boy focus on his career, which to this point has been great and will get better.”
Cahill signed with Bolton Wanderers in the January transfer window of 2008 from Aston Villa, after spending most of his career out on loan with Burnley and Sheffield United. He has made 111 appearances in the Premier League since then and has scored 11 goals.
Coyle was full of praise for the England international, he said:
“He is a young player, he is only going to improve and he is established in the England squad. He has been a revelation for me during my tenure here.”
Coyle revealed he was pleased to have had a player like Cahill in his squad, who had gone on to establish himself in the England national squad because of his commitment and hard work. Cahill has so far made 3 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, since making his debut
in 2010.
