Bolton Wanderers confirm that no offers have been made for Arsenal target http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439
Bolton Wanderers defender, Gary Cahill has been the talk of the town in recent weeks. The defender has been linked to a number of teams, with Arsenal leading the race to land the player – or so it seemed.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle has gone on to confirm that despite all these rumours, there have been no offers for the player as yet, which is a rather surprising fact
Coyle was being linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 for almost all of last season, however, it is a wonder as to why the Gunners have not yet gone on to make a formal offer for the player.
Coyle, when talking to the media about Cahill and his situation at the club is quoted to have said: "I have been very open. Some of the elite clubs in this country have noted their interest. But there has been nothing concrete. Until that changes, Gary is
a Bolton player.

"Gary has been the subject of speculation every day, probably to the point he is frustrated by it."
Arsene Wenger had come forth last week and stated that Arsenal would step up their transfer activities in July. Now with July finally being here, it is Wenger’s turn to fulfil his promises.
The Gunners have already gone ahead and lost the services of Gael Clichy to City and seem to have inherited around seven million pounds, which they could and should use to invest in a move for Cahill.
It is surprising to see Arsenal not yet approach Bolton for Cahill. The team seemed to be on the brink of landing the player on a number of occasions in the past and with Bolton also theoretically accepting defeat in keeping the defender around, it is anybody’s
guess as to why he isn’t an Arsenal player yet.
Should Arsenal keep this act up, of trying to land the player in the very last minute of the transfer market, not only will they end up losing most of their players, but they would also find it close to impossible to find decent replacements in time.
At the moment, the duo of Cesc Fabregas and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 are also being linked with moves out of the club and it seems like the Gunners are doing very little to keep the two around.
Should the team continue to go down the path that they seem to have adopted, then Cahill might just end up joining another team and the Gunners would be left with only 5 defenders to choose amongst, for the entire season.
