Bolton Wanderers defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 admits his UEFA Champions League ambitions

Bolton Wanderers defender, Gary Cahill, admits that he is tempted to play UEFA Champions League football in the future and he wants to play at the highest level to further improve his game.
Cahill has become one of the best defenders in the English Premier League and has attracted interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and A.C Milan.
The defender feels that playing in the Champions League is every player’s dream and his manager understands his situation. He praised his club manager, Owen Coyle, and believes that he is very supportive and understands not only the club’s objectives but
also the players' ambitions .
Speaking to the reporters, Cahill said:
"It's a bit weird in a way. Normally when there is transfer speculation, the manager comes out and says, 'They can forget it - he's going nowhere. But the thing about our manager is he's not only ambitious for himself and his club, he's ambitious for his
players. He wants them to have the same drive and desire to get to the top. He expects us all to want to better ourselves.

"So when all the speculation started last summer, he called me in for a chat. He checked first of all that it hadn't turned my head, and then he came out with this statement about outgrowing the club one day. “
The 25-year-old added that he will ponder over the options of moving to a big club in the summer but for now, he is focused on doing the business with Bolton. Cahill will have to play a big role in guiding the Trotters to a European place for next season.
They are currently placed 8th on the league table and with six matches left to play in the season, finishing for a UEFA Europa League place is still within reach.
Bolton have also made it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and will take on Stoke City at the Wembley Stadium on 17th April, 2011.
Cahill started his professional career from Aston Villa and was sold to Bolton for a minimal fee. Since then, he has made 105 appearances for the club and has also scored 11 goals.
