It has been reported that Bolton Wanderers’ manager Owen Coyle is hoping to sign Arsenal’s young striker Carlos Vela on a six-month loan deal.
The Wanderers have publicly shown interest in signing Vela on loan for the rest of the season as the Trotters bid to bolster their attacking options.
Bolton Wanderers had a flying start to the 2010-11 season, spending most of the time in the top half. However, the Trotters are currently going through a rough patch, losing all last five Premier League matches. Owen Coyle feels that signing new players
would take them back to the top half of the table.
Moreover, Arsene Wenger has also admitted that Carlos Vela would be sent on loan, preferably to Barclays Premier League, in order to get more first team playing time.
Owen Coyle, who signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 from Arsenal on loan in the 2009-10 season, is hoping that Carlos Vela’s addition to his squad will add competition for places in the attack for Bolton Wanderers.
He said, “It's not rocket science to know that there are only a few days left of the window. Certainly Arsenal and Arsene Wenger will make a decision on that in the next couple of days. I'm sure, as they always have been, they will be very courteous with
us and we will be the first to know. If we get the green light then we will look to act upon it, if not, there we go.”
Moreover, Bolton Wanderers are also reportedly linked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shaun-Wright-Phillips-c33277 of Manchester City but the Trotters’ manager refused to confirm Bolton’s interest in City’s English winger.
However, the Scottish manager of Bolton Wanderers confirmed that Bolton Wanderers are linked with a couple of players but refused to name any player.
“Carlos Vela has been mentioned because it has been well documented from the outset. But to mention anybody else, we are not the biggest or most powerful club in the league, so I wouldn't want to be losing out to anybody else because we have made our targets
known,” he said.
