Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden hopes to return for the United States national team soon
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden revealed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034 national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann had asked him to return to the team as soon as he was fully fit. The 26-year-old United States international has recently returned from a long term injury
and has been playing for the Bolton Wanderers reserve side and hopes to return to the first team soon along with the United States national team.
Holden picked up the knee injury during a clash against English Premier League leaders Manchester United last season and has been sidelined since then. The fractured bone and ripped knee have recovered and Holden will be returning to regular football soon.

Holden said in an interview:
“I spoke to him for a good 10-15 minutes after in the locker room and, you know, he made it clear to me that he sees me as part of his plans in the future.”
He revealed that while Klinsmann had asked him to return as soon as possible, the manager had urged him to take his time as not to aggravate his injury. Holden admitted that it was highly likely that he would returning for Bolton Wanderers first team action
soon, but did not expect to be involved in the upcoming friendlies with the US national team next month.
He continued:
“I would assume I'm not going to be involved in the friendlies coming up next month but, you know, I hope to keep pushing on with Bolton.”
Apart from his regular appearances for the reserve side, Holden featured for the club in the Carling Cup clash against Aston Villa. The Wanderers managed a 2-0 win over the Villains, which means they have now made it to the fourth round of the Cup competition.
The midfielder played for a full 90 minutes and revealed that he was slowly getting used to playing a full match.
Holden revealed:
“My knee is going to be stiff for a couple of days after playing games like that. But, you know, it's just par for the course now for the next couple of months as I continue to put more and more work through it and as it gets used to doing that.”
