Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden sidelined for six months – English Premier League news
There have been confirmed reports suggesting that the Bolton Wanderer’s midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stuart-Holden-c34260 will not be featuring in the remainder of the ongoing 2010-11 season.
The 25-year-old was at the heart of a very harsh tackle made by the Manchester United defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonny-Evans-c19085 that resulted in a red card for the centre back.
Bolton have shown a lot of improvement from their previous years and Holden has certainly been one of the shining stars for their manager, Owen Coyle. Due to this injury, the midfielder is set to sit out for at least six months and is also expected to miss
out on USA’s Gold Cup campaign, which is scheduled to take place in June 2011.
Wanderers’ manager has expressed his disappointment over the injury to one of his emerging stars but mentioned that the team has to look forward and face the reality. Owen Coyle stressed that Bolton are a tough team and are still a competent force without
the aggressive midfielder.
Coyle said, “Holden’s come back from injury is the part of our priorities and the medical staff will make sure that the 25-year-old recovers on time, before the start of the next 2011-12 season.”
The manager further said, “First and foremost our main concern is for Stuart and his recovery. He will get all the time and support that he needs, Stuart has been outstanding for me this season and he has shown in his performances that he is one of the best
midfielders in the Barclays Premier League.”
