Owen Coyle will be without 11 of his players who have been released following the club’s relegation into the Championship after a poor 2011/12 campaign in the Barclays Premier League.
The drop into the second tier of English football, the Championship, has hit Bolton Wanderers hard as they have released a number of players from their roster as the club look to reduce their costs after losing out on 25-million in revenue.

Coyle took a moment to wish the players well and reserved special praise for Ricardo Gardner, “who has been with the football club for 14 years. He has offered incredible service to Bolton Wanderers and I’d like to personally thank him for all his efforts, particularly during the time that I have worked with him.”
Another player who has confirmed he has left the Wanderers is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigel-Reo-Coker-c27884 who activatde a release clause in his contract. According to the Bolton manager, Owen Coyle, the discussion leading up to the move was frank and to the point.
“I was clear with Nigel. I asked him straight away whether he wanted to stay and be a part of what we are going to do next season. He was honest and up front with us, because that is the type of man he is, and said that he wanted to exercise the clause in his contract, and so we wish him well.”
There was one bit of good news though as the club’s inspirational captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Davies-c20716, signed a one-year contract extension with the club. At the same time the club are in talks with both Zat Knight and Jussi Jaaskelainen in order to determine where both players will be playing in the future.
