Bolton boss Owen Coyle worried about Gareth Bale threat
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has admitted he is worried of the threat carried by in-form Tottenham star Gareth Bale ahead of this weekend’s meeting between
the two sides.
Bale’s name has been on everyone’s lips this week following his outstanding display against Champions League holders Inter Milan, but Coyle insists that, despite
Bale’s quality, he is only one part of what is a very good Tottenham team.
Coyle told
Goal.com: “How do you stop Bale? With difficulty. But it is the same every week in this league. If it is not Gareth Bale, it is Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres, Wayne Rooney or [Dimitar] Berbatov. That is why we love being at this level.
"You are playing against outstanding players, world class players. We will be respectful of the opposition, but we won't be fearful. Bale is an outstanding young
player. He is getting better game by game. But he will be the first to tell you he is only as good as his team-mates because they give him the ball in the right areas.”
Bale will no doubt be a key part of Spurs’ attacking play on Saturday as he hopes to continue his devastating form. Its been a blistering year for the 21-year-old, who struggled at White
Hart Lane initially, but since moving from left full-back to left wing, he has developed into one of Europe’s hottest prospects – something Coyle believes Spurs boss Harry Redknapp should take his fair share of credit for.

“You have to give credit as well to Harry Redknapp for pushing him on a position from full-back. Bale has benefited and is really involved in the role."

If Bale can continue where he left off, few will envy Bolton’s right-back on Saturday afternoon.
