Bolton Wanderers came out of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabrice-Muamba-c13216 trauma in the best possible way, as they beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in a Premier League match at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.

The match on Sunday was Bolton’s first, since the FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur in which Muamba collapsed on the field after suffering from a cardiac arrest. Bolton’s game against Aston Villa, which was scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed in the
wake of the tragic incident.
With the crowd chanting Muamba’s name right from the start of the match, Bolton made a good start to the match with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martin-Petrov-c24428 finding the space in the seventh minute outside the box to shoot at goal. However, his 25 yard effort was somehow blocked by

The home side came close, in the 18th minute when Petrov made a great run from the left and his cross just missed the head of Rio Miyaichi.
Blackburn were unfortunate not to be awarded a penalty in the 22nd minute, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Junior-c20060 Hoilett charged into the Bolton box and was tripped by the Trotter’s defender, Gretar Steinsson.
However, it was the home side who broke the deadlock in the 28th minute from a corner. Petrov’s cross from the set piece was cleared by the Blackburn defence but the ball went back to the Bulgarian, who sent in another cross which was nodded home
by Wheater, from deep inside the penalty area.
Blackburn came close to levelling things up after Marcus Olssen’s cross was met by Yakubu, but his header went over the goal.
Petrov then, forced a corner in the 33rd minute when his low shot from just outside the box was kept out by Robinson. However, Bolton were not to be denied again,as Wheater headed an in-swinging corner from Miyaichi to double the Trotters lead.
Blackburn reduced the deficit to one goal in the 55th minute after N’Zonzi headed one in from the corner.
The away team charged forward in search of the equalizer in the closing stages of the match, but Bolton’s defence stood firm and denied the visitors.
The win took Bolton to 26 points from 29 matches and they lead 18th placed Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 by a single point, with a game in hand.
