Bolton make last ditch attempt to sign Rodrigo – Portuguese Primeira Liga Update
Bolton Wanderers have been ousted from a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rodrigo-c31437 after Benfica confirmed that he would be part of the first team next season.
Rodrigo came into the spotlight after he signed with the youth ranks of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid from Celta de Vigo. Although he was impressive for the Whites C Team, he was sold to Portuguese giants Benfica in 2010.
He penned a five-year deal at Estadio da Luz, which included a €12 million buy-back option for Los Blancos should his form improve. However, the striker was farmed out to Bolton due to lack of opportunities with the Reds.

Rodrigo will be on International duty with the Spanish national team participating in the U-20 World Cup in Columbia, which runs from 29th July to 20th
August and will join the squad for preseason training after the prestigious tournament concludes.
Extending Rodrigo’s loan deal or acquiring him on a permanent basis was crucial to Bolton’s plans following the return of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tamir-Cohen-c34618. As the move has failed, Owen Coyle will now look for other targets who can
add some much needed quality to the side and provide him with him options in the attacking third.
