Bolton Wanderers have gone on to reject http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, Gary Cahill. The Gunners had been linked with a move for the defender for quite some time and the team finally went ahead and made an official offer for him. However,
as it stands, the Gunners bid for the player was not up to the mark and hence they were turned down.
The defender currently only has a year left on his contract with the team and that is why the Arsenal were looking to try and land him for a significantly low price.
Coyle has gone on to confirm of the offer made by the Gunners and seems to be surprised by the fact that the team made such a low offer for the player. The North London team are reported to have made a bid worth around the region of six million pounds, which
is way less than what Bolton are valuing the player at.
Coyle, when addressing the media and talking about his offer from Arsenal is quoted to have said: "There was a conversation between [chairman] Phil Gartside and a representative of Arsenal. I'm only passing this on as a third party, but the word 'derisory'
doesn't even cover it.

"When I make an offer for a player, I'd like to think in the right ball park, but this wasn't even close.

"I spoke to Gary Cahill about it before the Macclesfield game, and he knows everything that's going on."
Cahill was signed by Bolton in 2009 from Aston Villa for a fee of five million pounds. Ever since his move to the club, the player has gone on to win a number of critics over and has hence become a prime target for many top clubs.
Having being turned down with their initial offer, the Gunners are more than likely to go in and make an improved offer for the defender as soon as possible.
