Despite collapsing on the pitch in a Barclays Premier League match, being rushed to hospital and eventually recovering from a traumatic ordeal, Muamba may return to the football pitch sooner than expected.
The footballing world stood in shock and horror as medical teams rushed to the aid of the collapsed figure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabrice-Muamba-c13216 during the Barclays Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane.
Muamba had suffered from a cardiac arrest and lay motionless on the field of play. The match official, Howard Webb, was quick in noticing Muamba’s predicament and halted the game for the medical teams to do attend to the player.
The situation went from bad to worse as the Bolton player, still motionless was taken off the pitch on a stretcher to an ambulance and then taken to hospital where he remained in critical condition. Many were grateful of the news that broke a few days later that Muamba was on his way to recovering from the incident.

"Once we got to the hospital and the cardiologists took over the lead of the care and I could take a step back, then everything just hit me,"

However, it seems that the news just got better for the player as it turns out that he could return to playing football sooner than anyone expected.
Jiri Dvorak, FIFA’s medical chief, stated, "I think this is something which the cardiologist has to decide but if the underlying reason is arrhythmia - which it probably is - then theoretically it's possible," said Dvorak, before continuing, "It is still too early to be having those discussions they will be decided by Fabrice and the cardiologists down in London."
Football fans the world over were united in their support for Muamba, as were officials and players, and a return to the football pitch as a player for Muamba is sure to be an emotional moment for everyone.
