Bone China tea cups with picture of lady on bootom, What is it?

Need help with some bone china that i have been given.

Its a full tea set in brown, gold and white.

When the tea vups are held up to the light you can see the head of a asian lady.

The tea pot has lucky stamped on the bottom.

What make is and wheres it from?

  1. 20thCentury Taisho Eggshell Kutani Lithopane, Japanese.  The Lithopane is referring to the picture in the botton of the  cups and jugs. I think I must have a similar set to you. My mother in law lived in japan for 8 yrs after the war and this was one of the beautiful china sets she brought home to Australia.
