I'm going to Cozumel in Febraury and would really like to do some fishing. I know it can be pretty pricey. How would be the best way to fly fish for bone fish, or any other type of fishing?

  1. Hi,

10 of us enjoyed Coz last July for 8 days. We did some fishing. If you have a group of four you can purchase a half day for $350.00 or the all day fishing trip for $500.00. Make sure you make a deal for the trip. We did a couple of the half day trips and returned with Tuna, Dorrado and Barracuda. The resort cooked them up for us, it was at no charge, we had a blast. About Bone fishing, no idea about this fish on Coz. Sounds like the North coast in the lagoons and Mangroves like Isla de la Pasion and around some of the small islands. You'll have to take a cab or rent a car for this trip.

Most of the island has very strong currents from Punta Norte to Punta Sur. The channel is deep water. The current runs South to North. On the East side of the island the trade winds are constant so the coast sees a lot of wave action.

    Good luck....

  2. It depends on your request if you want a small yacht it could be pricey, I would recommend you to go to a local restaurant by the beach and ask a fishermen to take you for a couple of hours and that is cheap and it's not dangerous they go fishing every day and come back. Try it's fun. Good luck! !!!!!!!!!
