  1. Why bow to English assumptions - everyone knows that bonfire night is 11th July!!!!

Although it needs to be remembered that 5th november is also a celebration of anti-Catholicism, so why is it not more popular in NI?

My preferred option is to get in a car and tour the bonfires.

Not only in Belfast but in Portadown.

  2. orangefield park east belfast usually have a large bonfire and a disco hope we have goodweather lol

  3. sandy row usually has the best one .........

    have a great night

  4. Insurance and health and safety issues have largely killed off the small local bonfire-night party, tending to leave it in the hands of professional organisations or major local charities.

This will vary from place to place.

You're a bit early, but put "bonfire night" and your local town

into google, and you're likely to get details at least for what's happened in the last couple of years, to know what to look for.

Any tradition that's lasted for 400 years is worth trying to hold onto.

    Remember, remember,

    The fifth of November

    Gunpowder, treason and plot.

    I see no reason

    Why Gunpowder Treason

    Should ever be forgot.

  5. Try Ballymacash. Party till dawn. Good Luck and have a good one wherever you end up'
