Bonsai Help!!!?

I have a small sapling of a pear plant growing in a very small pot and i live in an apartment, no place or balcony to pot it in a huge pot.

1. Can i make a bonsai plant out of this sapling?

2. can you please give me a website which will teach me bonsai from scratch.

  1. Yes, you can style almost any tree as a bonsai. Although fruit trees are not the "perfect" choice, a found sapling can provide you with a fun start.

    Learning the art of bonsai can take a lifetime. There is no one website that will tell you all. In fact a lot of what you will learn with your tree may be through experience. Step-by-step instructions are not the norm because every tree is different and everybody has their own idea of style. If you learn the basic principles, you'll be able to apply them to your tree as you see fit.

  2. Fruit trees are not the best candidates for bonsai because the fruit will always be standard in size despite dwarfing of the roots and stems. The fruit cannot be supported by the miniaturized plant. It's an art that takes a lifetime to master. Please feel free to peruse this site.
