Do Bonsai Trees shed their leaves in the Autumn ?

i got a Chinese Elm for my birthday and a couple of its leaves turned yellow and fell off.

I dont want it to die already !!

i think i read somewhere that it can be both evergreen or deciduous.

is this true ??

  2. Most bonsai are evergreen. Just make sure it has the right amount of light and is not drying off. They shed some leaves automatically though, to grow new ones instead.

  3. they shed leaves only if you left them out in winter/fall

    thats whats special bout them, as long as they stay warm indoors, their leaves wont fall

    ps is your bonsai out side as it must be
