Bonsai soil seems to be "boiling out" Is it ants and how do I get rid of them if it is?

I am a truck driver that is gone 5 days at a time so it doesn't get water until I get home, but seems to be doing very well, until this. It is still in original soil as I just bought it 3 months ago and was told by seller not to repot for 2 years. Thanks

Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.
