Bonsai tree help please read all

well i just got one that was already planted and grown but it goes the the left instead of growing up tall..isnt it suposed to go up not to the side and towards the ground??wat can i do to fix this and how should i water it

stick a small stick in he ground next to it and tie the tree to it just like you would for a full size tree.
