As i watched the Cubs get dealt a sweep yesterday, I heard the so called "Best Fans in Baseball" booing their team. Is this b/c they really dont know the game and dont understand that all teams slump a bit? Whats the deal here Cubs fans? Did you get a little spoiled during the first part of the year playing good and now a few injuries and a slump are making you cry? Whats up!

  1. I can wait to hear thier boo's and cries when they lose in the playoffs.  If they dont choke and not even get in.  Which is still a possiblitly.

  2. They better start playing good soon or Santo will run them out of town.

  3. Cub fans are new to this winning season thing. They are not sure how this finishing in first place works. Give them a little time they will catch on. Until then they will Boo a first place team with the most wins.

  4. They're starting to become like yankees fans, just expecting their team to always do good. You may have one of the best records in baseball, but you need to win at least a world series before you can start expecting greatness all the time.

    but hey, all fans boo.

  5. Im a cardinals fan so id have to say I dont really like to talk about the scrubs unless im going to laugh about their lack of world series rings, but the fans are in panic mode because 100 years later september comes and the cubs CHOKE AGAIN! bahaha

  6. Cub fans are among the most unknowledgeable fans in baseball. Among their dumb acts:

    1) Standing up with 2 strikes - 2 out - and no one on in the first! They stand all the time like every play is "that" important.

    2) They give standing ovations to pitchers leaving the game in the 4th after loading the bases!

    3) They react to every fly ball like it is a home run.

    4) They boo every bad play - or get that mad after a loss at home  because they have been "robbed" from listening to the Go Cubs Go song.

There are good fans, but the majority are horrible. They react to their team like a parent rewarding a 10 year old for using the toilet instead of a diaper. They simply do not know when is the right time to stand and the right time to boo.

  7. Cubs fans are only human just like the fans of every other team.  I have to believe that the booing was more out of frustration than anything else.

  8. I agree. Every team runs into a slump here n there. Cub fans don't worry the rays lost 7 in a row and they still have the best record in baseball.

  9. I (life-long cub fan) personally do not like when other fans "boo" but I do understand why it's done most of the time:

1.) Idiots - they don't know sh*t about the game and just want the team that is displayed on the $150 worth of trendy clothing that they just purchased to win.

2.) Idiots - they "boo" a player that isn't playing well lately or never has because, in their naive and ignorant minds, it's simple to play baseball at the major league level.

3.) Idiots - (the case last night) they have watched a team take advantage of opportunities all year long and then, during the most important part of the season, they cannot seem to make a single timely play on either side of the ball.  They are afraid that the best season in their lifetime for the cubs is going to come up empty in the end and that pisses them off.

  10. That is what it's like playing in a big market city.  Think about the Yankees' response to A-Rod or anyone else except Jeter when they are playing poorly, yet A-Rod is such a monster on the stat sheet (got them to the playoffs by himself pretty much last year).  The fans feel entitled to let the players know how they feel since they are paying for the tickets.  Is it right?  No, I think booing your own team one day and cheering wildly for them the next is trifling and childish, but that's the mentality of stupid people.

  11. As a Card Fan,all I can say is 28 blown saves

  12. I can't stand when fans boo their own team.  Do they really think that will help their team play better?
