Booing wrestlers to show hatred

Now wouldn't it be more effective if instead of booing wrestlers that fans dislike they were just SILENT! I mean if someone that EVERYONE hates comes out and its just completely silent wouldn't that be more effective?

  1. the only time i boo at a show, is when the crowd is 2 loud to notice silence. like, john cena. i tried to be silent, but all high pitched "lets go cena!!" chants started, so i started a "cena sucks" chant. the crowd is dead silent for batista now, and so am i. i try to only cheer at shows

  2. U do have a point

  3. No. And besides, how would they get to make all of the fans be quiet?

  4. I agree. If you boo it's a heel reaction. So Vince and WWE will think the person that is being booed is getting over as a heel, not being booed because everyone hates him.

  5. well booing them is more effective because it drowns out anyone cheering :)

  6. yeah thats true

  7. It would but since the beginning of wrasslin' they learned that if you call an Irishman a Russian he would get booed and people would show up simply to protest Russia and boo this guy who wasn't even Russian. It might be more effective but nobody would do it, they are too caught up in yelling at something they think they dislike.

  8. no i think booing is much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. That allows the fans that screamed and cheer for the wrestler to win. I'm not a person that likes to boo but it's a free country. Showing what you think of a product helps the company improve it (or in this case, push it more). The WWE learned its lesson from not listening to the audience. At one point, wrestling fans went from booing because they're showing their concern...to just not caring and lowering the ratings.

  10. No it wouldn't because you can express how you feel with everybody else alongside you. The wrestlers know it's going to be a mixed reaction, so the audience can boo or scream and no one cares. They're putting the wrestlers on the spotlight not you.

  11. yeahh

  12. No I don't think so!!That would make going to live events awful boring!!
