Book Publishers in London?

Question

Alright, well, I'm interested in becoming an author one day, and, because I haven't the first clue about publishing, my English teacher suggested I go to a publisher's for a few days and observe just how they do things, etc, etc. (Kind of like a mild work experience, I suppose). But, I don't know of any, and thought London would probably be my best bet to find one, so, answers are much appreciated :).
