Question:

Book baby shower invitation ideas?

We are having a hard time coming up with the design of an invitation for the baby shower coming up. The theme is lullabies. The shower itself will have lots of little "props", like: Jack and a candle stick, Little cakes marked with a B, etc. We also want everyone to bring a book instead of buying a card with the gift. Originally, we were going to send out little white easter eggs for "Humpty Dumpty" with all of the info inside, but we can't get the eggs here in time to send out etc. SO, anyone have an idea (that isn't cheesy-like folding a piece of paper in half to create a book) that goes with the lullaby theme and can be inscribed with the poems about bringing a book instead of a card? I am at a loss now!!

  1. You could cut stars out of tag board or construction paper and write something like "Twinkle twinkle here comes a little star" and then write out the rest of your information.

Too bad the egg idea won't work--that's very creative! :)

  2. well at walmart i do know they have candy kisses that say its a boy and its a birl they come in pink and blue bags and they also got them heart  candys for baby showers too. also u can find invitations at Hallmark. i would just look around and see what u can find at different stores. hope the info below helps you some

  3. Ok heres an idea, might be cheesy but I couldn't think of anything else, and it might take a while to make but if you have alot of time on your hands then this might work..

ok cut like 2 pieces of cardboard about 3inchx3inch and about 6 little peices of paper the same size, punch 2 holes in it and tie w/ a ribbon, so it makes a little book...on the front you could print out a picture of like a little teddy on a cloud, kinda like its going to be a lullaby story book, like this picture

and on the front you could make like a title that says A Baby Shower, like the name of the book

you could pick a lullaby and add when, what, where, for who to it...

ex: rock-a-bye baby on a tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock, come to the baby shower and have a good time.....

then write where the shower is at and soo on...

    hope it helped
