  1. Jack and Annie from the Magic Treehouse books, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and a beanstalk?

  2. How about Raggedy Anne and Andy?

  3. Hansel and Grettle(sp?)

  4. Thing 1 or thing2 from Dr. Suess

    Harry Potter

    hermoine

    Zac Power

    A fairy

A pirate (always books about fairies and pirates)

    captain Hook

    a ballerina

  5. Harry and Hermione.  You can find those costumes super cheap on ebay

  6. I remember going to school dressed as Pippi Longstocking for education week- Mum plaited wire in my hair to make it stand up, and I wore a tattered dress and knee high socks!

I can't remember anything my little brother dressed up as, but "The cat in the hat", or "Where's Wally/ Waldo" would be pretty easy!

  7. Harry Potter

    Ramona Quimby

    Willy Wonka

    Sherlock Holmes

    Franklin (the turtle)

    Clifford the Big Red Dog

    Cinderella

    Junie B. Jones

    Stuart Little

    The Ugly Duckling

It would help if we knew the ages of your children......

  8. You don't say how old they are...but my daughter went as the jellyfish from Alex Rider, and we made her costume out of old bubblewrap.

  9. emily elizabeth and cliffard(just buy animal ears and paint his face)

i would do a princess and prince think like cinderella and whatever the prince's name is. or any others you want

    good luck

  10. I have trouble trying to think of costumes for these things as well.

I kept suggesting characters to my daughter (7) and she kept saying "Who?"

She ended up going as Ariel. I cut shell shapes and the tail fin out of card and painted them. Then I glued on some glitter and saftey pinned the shells to a crop top kiddie bra. Then I wrapped a sarong around her waist as a skirt and pinned the tail fin to the bottom at the back. She has really short curly hair, so I put it in tiny pigtails all over her head and then cut some red crepe into streamers and used bobby pins to fasten. Instant long red hair.

My little boy (4) went as Peter Rabbit. Soooo easy!!!! White shirt and pants, blue coat. I made a pompom tail out of heaps of cotton wool glued on a small circle of card. White face paint and the draw on some whiskers. Bunny ears are easy to find at any 'Dollars and Cents'.

At the end of the day, the best thing is to let them decide.

It's easy to make costumes on a budget. Inexpensive items to use are project card, crepe paper, PVA glue and coloured hairspray.

    Goodluck

  11. Thing 1 and Thing 2, if they want to dress alike, somewhat.  Or maybe Cat in the Hat, a mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie or Good Night Moon, almost any cartoon characters as they all have books now.  Just have them pick out a book they enjoy reading and see where you go from there.  Have them help with this.  You'll all have a great time figuring it out and dressing them up together.

  12. 1. Hansel and Gretal

    2. Thing 1 and Thing 2(Cat in The Hat)

3.Annie and Jack (Magic Tree House Books)

4.Kanga and Roo (Pooh Bear Stories)
