Book for 8 year old girl about puberty?

Question

My soon to be 9 year old daughter is showing early signs of puberty which began at 8 and 1/2 ie downy pubic hair breast buds and body shape changes.

I would like to talk through these changes with her and give her a book to read about all the changes she can expect. Although she's an able reader I don't want graphic details as she's only 8. I just want a simple book which can explain the body changes. Can anyone recommend anything that they have found useful for their children? Thank u

ready set grow..whats happening to me? was my choice for my 8 year old... of course i read it first then we went over it together very informitive at a level she could understand

I think at 8 it's too soon to be worrying your girl with too much detail about puberty. Take it easy. And explaining things to her should enough at this stage. Children are being made to grow up too quickly in this day and age but that's only my opinion

daft as it sounds, talk to her school teacher they may even carry such a book in stock with them at school or will point you in the best direction to get one

I had a book when I was younger with that sort of stuff in - there is some info for later on but not graphic.

The Body Book for Girls by American Girl. Very good and appropriate.

My aunt gave this to her daughter and said it was very informative, giving all the need to know information and showing pictures but not entering too much into s*x and sexuality as many puberty books do. Although she should know how babies are made at 8 years old she doesnt need to know too much about this. I think its a great choice:

I agree the Body Book by american girl costs about 10 dollars .well worth it,it shows her how to take care of her whole body,and be the best she can be. I bought it for my granddaughter and she is 9.

My daughter is the same age, I found that you have to find a book that fits her maturity level.  So good luck here are a few to check out.  Start at the library first before you buy or amazon to read the reviews.
