Book i nevr promised you a rose garden..!!?

I'm reading it for english but I'm just on the 5th page. And m cnfused, they keep saying Yr. what doed Yr mean? please help..!!

I read this book many years ago, if I'm remembering correctly Yr is the name of the imaginary kingdom Deborah has created & peopled with her versions of  Gods & rulers. She believes it is more real than her actual life.

That was a very good, if a bit disturbing, book.
