hi, i have booked a holiday to turkey for 2 weeks, but now cannot go due to work committments, does anyone know how i can go about getting any money back, the holiday is in august and also it was a late deal as i only booked and paid for it 2 weeks ago.

I have rang up thomas cook and was told i would lose 100% of my money, has anyone got any suggestions or better still does anyone want to buy it.

I will probably get a strike for asking!!!!

  1. I don't know about that but why did you even want to go to turkey? I'm so scared coz there's these terrorist attacks and all of that.. of course this isn't everywhere..And Ive only been there once..you should be happy you didn't go!

  2. Did you take out holiday insurance? If you did, then if you check your policy, you might be able to make a claim on this.

  3. It seems get a difficult decision to sell it would be much hard and why not you go ahead to keep it and ask the company to give you two weeks of vacation. It would be more fun for you go out of the  country.

  4. you could try to sell it. you would have to pay for change of name though and that could be up to £100 per person. did you not have insurance? you should be able to claim under that somehow.

  5. well, if you booked lately, i think you have a little chance to take your money back, but maybe they'll take some percentage for themselves.

    who is thomas cook btw?

  6. Did you pay with a credit card? Try and see if they can do something.Cancellation insurance it helps. Also put an ad on the paper or little notes in supermarkets.
